Programma (anno accademico 2018-2019)

Il corso si propone di fornire una panoramica dell'ultimo periodo patristico da Gregorio Magno fino all'epoca carolingia e all'espansione dell'islam.

Le lezioni saranno organizzate in base a criteri geografici -la Hispania visigotica, l'Italia longobarda e bizantina, il mondo franco, le isole britanniche e l'Impero bizantino-, controversie teologiche -monotelismo, monoenergismo, iconoclasmo, la questione del filioque- e autori di rilievo sia occidentali che orientali.
